One of the defining features of CAFÉTIENDA is its alliance and partnership with Colombian entrepreneurship.
Importing coffee from Colombia is not an easy task since
the National Federation of Caféteros of Colombia enforces very strict exporting and inspection rules to ensure that the coffee exported is only Excelso and Supremo grade. Due to the nature of the exportation policies of the country, all the transactions from Colombia are scrutinized and must be completed in proper procedures.
CAFÉTIENDA has associated with a group in Colombia that operates a 'trilladora' and has an exportation permit.
The Colombian alliance with this group has provided CAFÉTIENDA with a direct connection with the best plantations of Colombia. Their representatives are constantly scouting the land for the best coffees and sign agreements with the farms to guarantee the shipment of the product from the specific origin.
This is why Cafétienda can guarantee our coffees' origin. This origin is not only related to the country but also to the region and the plantation. This cannot be accomplished without the very close relationship that we enjoy with the Tisquesusa group.
